Guest guest
i recently posted a message in here and i am going 2 answer everyone questions, y i am here is that i was first of all i was invited in here first of all, the reason that i can't afford a vegetarian diet is that i don't have a job right now and fruit and vegetable is so expensive that i go broke trying 2 keep up with it and that's y i said that if i had a high paying job i would go back 2 my diet and i didn't mention this but my moms was a vegan and i was born a vegetarian baby and till this day i can't drink milk except 4 soy milk and lactose-free milk cause i am lactose intolence and i lack vitamin D cause of my moms diet and that's y they say 2 consult a doctor before anyone get on a vegetarian diet, cause vegans lack vitamin B12 and must take a vitamin B12 if u think that i am lying ask any doctor that and he will also tell u that vegetarian diet is a healthy. the reason that meat-eaters r so hostile towards vegetarians r that some vegetarians r so hostile towards them even though some them have no problem with their diet. i know from being in here letting everyone know that i was on both side of the fence and only got disrespected by some of the members of this club. have i thought of going back 2 my diet yes as soon as i get a job and i will be able 2 work, the reason that i don't eat red meat is cause red meat has high fat content, all beef is not 100% percent beef cause they mixed pork, sheep, and lamb in alot ground beef. as a black man it causes colon and prostate cancer in the black man from eating it. i don't eat much meat cause i know that i am getting older and i have 2 watch my weight. what gets me is that i was being real and got disrespected 4 saying that i eat chicken, fish, and turkey. it only showed me that i can't be in here anymore and this will be my last post. Guest guest
I'm staying out of the controversy (I hate that stuff and didn't read anything but this one post). I don't try to run anyone else's life; I have enough on my hands just running my own! I just wrote to back you up on the B12 issue. I know many vegans that take B12 supplements, and report that they suffer if they don't. I think it's great that you're looking for vegetarian recipes, and I hope you find what you want. Guest guest
This really makes me sad. Guest guest
Actually, I think we are for the most part. I don't recall anyone treating this person with disrespect or judgement about their diet. They stated they felt being a vegetarian was too expensive in their intro post and several kind members tried to encourage them that it was doable and not much (if any) more expensive than buying meat at the store. Oh well..... *shrugs* No one group can meet the needs of everyone. I hope this person finds what they are looking for and wish them well. ~ PT ~ What I say is that, if a fellow really likes potatoes, he must be a pretty decent sort of fellow. ~ A.A.
