Sweet potato french fries

I came across this one and could not get over its simplicity and

originality, at least to me.

Scrub under water one large raw sweet potato.

Slice it length ways into strips like making french fries.

Line them up on a non-stick cookie sheet, or regular one spraying

first with a non-stick spray.

Bake at 350F for 5-10 minutes. Lightly spraying the tops is

optional. Flip them over for a few more minutes. Slicing thickness

will influence baking time.

Enjoy. A microwave can speed it up even more.

This is a very easy way to enjoy baked sweet potatoes.

I could not get over why I had never heard of this. All I knew

about was baking them, or getting them from a can.

One of my favorite ways to eat them is dipped in tempura

batter and fried. A few dipping sauces on the side along with

other dipped veggies and rice. :)

One of my fav's is a meal like the one PT spoke of. Any batter that

you would use for onion rings would work. My Fav is beer batter.

[which is nothing more than flour and beer, with whatever spice you

like~ mixed to the consistancy of pancake batter.]
