Guest guest
I came across this one and could not get over its simplicity and originality, at least to me. Scrub under water one large raw sweet potato. Slice it length ways into strips like making french fries. Line them up on a non-stick cookie sheet, or regular one spraying first with a non-stick spray. Bake at 350F for 5-10 minutes. Lightly spraying the tops is optional. Flip them over for a few more minutes. Slicing thickness will influence baking time. Enjoy. A microwave can speed it up even more. This is a very easy way to enjoy baked sweet potatoes. I could not get over why I had never heard of this. All I knew about was baking them, or getting them from a can. Bruce
Guest guest
One of my favorite ways to eat them is dipped in tempura batter and fried. A few dipping sauces on the side along with other dipped veggies and rice. ~ PT ~ An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind. ~ Buddha ~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , " Bruce <brucefjones2001> " <brucefjones2001> wrote: > I came across this one and could not get over its simplicity and > originality, at least to me. > I could not get over why I had never heard of this. Guest guest
One of my fav's is a meal like the one PT spoke of. Any batter that you would use for onion rings would work. My Fav is beer batter. [which is nothing more than flour and beer, with whatever spice you like~ mixed to the consistancy of pancake batter.] Pixx On 16 Feb 2003 at 16:19, Brigitte mohrb wrote: > > Thanks P.T for the tip, > but what is tempura batter. > How can I make it? > > Thanks for the verse, > that is really true. > > with peace > Brigitte >
