Guest guest
Just a quick note ... when I use to help with lactation as a Sr. Peer Counselor we would suggest one of these as a warm snugly for engorgement ... we found that most moms had rice or could afford a small bag/box. They also work nice on tired feet or iced for a headache or stressed eyes. Here's to rice! ====coffee mug salute==== Robin in NC
Guest guest
Good to know you have found some practical use for that big bag of basmati you didn't like. Wonderful idea, too. I bet it smells nice when heated. (?) My sister made us something like these for xmas one year, but she used dry corn from a feed store. They smelled very nice and were quite soothing when we felt aches from colds or stiff necks. ~ PT ~ Nothing that grieves us can be called little: by the eternal laws of proportion a child's loss of a doll and a king's loss of a crown are events of the same size. -Mark Twain, author and humorist (1835-1910) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , " Pixx " <lists@p...> wrote: > By the way~ rice makes a wonderful 'heating pad'. Guest guest
I do not have the sense of smell, so I can't say. I will have to ask someone the next time I use one! I have heard of people adding herbs to the rice when filling....I am sure that would be pleasant to smell. Oh, and even after filling several rice socks, it didn't even put a dent in that big bag of rice!! LOL!!
