Guest guest
Um...not exactly, at least not this 'outsider'. I knew a bit more than that, but the dietary aspect was new to me. ~ PT ~ We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form. ~William R. Guest guest
yes, one of the cornerstones of the ras tafari sect is nutritional well-being and holistic medicine. the kosher diet should be a no-brainer as ras tafarians see themselves as biblical jews. in addition, however, stong emphasis is placed upon vegetarianism. Guest guest
Well, yeah, it makes sense to me now, and I can be a bit of a 'no-brainer' at times. *lol* Everything I have read on the subject suggested that they weren't full vegetarians, since they eat fish.... I call that pescatarian since one of our members here gave that title to that diet. Seemed to make more sense to me than the one they listed in a TIME magazine article where they labeled folks who eat fish (but no other meat) as pesco-vegetarians. If you can get fish from clean water sources that aren't polluted by men and livestock run-off, that would be a very healthy way to live. ~ PT ~ Poetry is a subject as precise as geometry. ~Gustave Flaubert, novelist (1821-80) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~> , jimi 45 <jimi45_skin> wrote: > > yes, one of the cornerstones of the ras tafari sect is nutritional well-being and holistic medicine. the kosher diet should be a no-brainer as ras tafarians see themselves as biblical jews. in addition, however, stong emphasis is placed upon vegetarianism.
