Guest guest
Hello! Thanks to our dear ListMom for her trouble in giving us this great mailing list! I just wanted to make a couple of personal observations, just my opinion and not that of others, of course. First, I only consider using recipes that someone has tried and said that they were delicious. I read the others for ideas, but then I delete them. Second, I don't use eggs or dairy, so I delete those that do. I know I may be in the minority here, but since I don't eat animal ingredients I can't use the recipes. Again, thanks to all who post. And if you've used the recipe you're posting, please say so and give your and your family's opinion of it. Regards, Sherry in Oregon

I know we all can't try the recipes we send. Sometimes it's hard enough just coming up with or finding vegetarian recipes! This group does a wonderful job of posting a vast and varied amount of veggie recipes. That in itself is a feat!!! Jennifer is a very good moderator and does a SUPER JOB. Its not easy running a list and keeping everyone happy. I know because I run a list also. The groups name is vegcrockpot not vegancrockpot. It's very easy to substitute other ingredients for animal products. Especially now with all the great soy products on the market. I know has groups that are specifically for vegans maybe Sherry could get ideas from those groups. Thank you, Tomi Natures Bounty: Is a diverse group of chefs, cooks, and gardeners. Guest guest
Just some thoughts regarding Sherry's post. I love to cook and have been vegetarian all my life (and I ain't a spring chick! LOL!). I am interested in all recipes posted. . .this is an awesome list! I read them over. . .and find that most of them are simple to adapt to vegan diets. I also want recipes that are not " tried and true " . . .as they have been developed by someone. . .right? We all have different tastes. A recipe that is a family favorite in one family might not be acceptable to my kids and all. Keep those recipes comin' folks! I'm enjoying them! Guest guest
Oops! Tomi left out three paragraphs when quoting my letter: >>> >Hello! >Thanks to our dear ListMom for her trouble in giving us this great mailing >list! >I just wanted to make a couple of personal observations, just my opinion >and not that of others, of course. >Again, thanks to all who post. To date, there are no vegan crockpot recipe lists. Guest guest
While this is NOT a vegan list, the vegan recipes are certainly welcome. If you have any, please feel free to share! I will try and look for some more vegan type recipes as well... Take Care and Happy Cooking! Jenny M., Moderator ~~ ***Reminder-Group Description: This group is for vegetarians looking for a place to share or find new recipes for their crockpots.
