Caramelized Onions (Fix It and Forget It)

6 large Vidalia or other sweet onions -- (to 8)

4 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 10 oz can vegetable broth

 

Peel onions. Remove stems and root ends. Place in slow cooker. Pour butter or

margarine and broth over. Cook on low 12 hours.

 

Serve as a side dish or use onions and liquid to flavor soups, stews, or as a

topping for pizza.
