Morningstar Farms sausage patties are pretty good, but higher in

fat/calories than the Gimme Lean brand of " bulk " sausage. For this

particular recipe, you'd have to pre-cook the Gimme Lean, where you'd

only have to thaw/heat the frozen MF patties.

I *love* the Gimme Lean sausage style ... it's got the (mild) flavor and

texture down pretty close, but it's not oozing fat, and it's vegan

(Morningstar farms sausage patties and links are not). i've made patties

with it, cooked and crumbled it with scrambled tofu, and even made

sausage gravy with it. yum!!!

I miss breakfast sausage sometimes, but considering the prices of most

vegetarian " mock meat " products, I tend to wait for recommendations

before I buy. :) (And while I like a lot of the

homemade-vegetarian-sausage recipes I've tried,

I haven't found one yet that tastes much if anything like like good ol'

seasoned pigburger.)

yes the morningstar farms are good, if you don't mind them not being

vegan.....lightlife also makes good breakfast sausages, if you can find them

(rather hard to find around here).
