Guest guest
Hello, I am new here, and my name is Bailey. I have four crocks pots and if I had my way, I would get rid of my stove and just cook in my crocks all the time. I have been trying crockpot recipes, originally designed for beef, substituting Morningstar farms, vegetable crumbles (they are called Grillers). Really delicious. The only problem is that they don't seem to do well in crock pot recipes. They turn rubbery. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to get around that? I never cook with hamburgh/beef, so I am really perplexed by this. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you.
Guest guest
Perhaps you can try adding it towards the end of the recipe? I'm sorry I'm not much help. I don't cook with those. The TVP seems to hold it's texture better in a c/p, but I personally wouldn't go over three hours on high. Jude
