Vegetarian Bratwurst in Beer with Kraut

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

6 Boca " bratwursts " -- (cut into pieces if desired)

3 cups sauerkraut -- rinsed & drained

1 apple -- peeled & chopped

1 teaspoon caraway seed

1 teaspoon sugar

1 cup beer

 

Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on for about 6 hours.

Sorry -- I wondered that myself, but the original recipe did not specify. I

modified this from one that called for " real bratwurst " .
