Guest guest
Don't we hate it when one of favorites quits working or breaks? There are a couple of folks that bring small crockpots to church when we have a potluck and I just love that size. I think it must be a 2 qt size or so. They usually have some beans in them. Maybe one day I'll pick one up. Judy >My little crockpot suffered a tragic accident over the weekend. While DH >was trying to cope with bugs he found in the pantry, he inadvertently dropped my rolling pin on the baby crock and broke it beyond usability. He was distressed to have broken one of my toys, so I let him off easy, just asking that he dispose of the remains. If/when I replace it, I must find a safer place to store it. -ginger
Guest guest
You may be able to pick one up on freecycle or at a garage sale. www.freecycle.org “I cook with wine; sometimes I even add it to the food.” –W. It is three different size crocks in one cooker. It takes up a lot less room than 3 cookers. Also, it doesn't cook as hot as most newer slow cookers. I have one and I just love it! You can get them at Wal*Mart. (I don't work there or for Hamilton Beach) Linda )
Guest guest
That looks like a nice one. Wish they had the pretty morning glories on it. LOL I love my flowers. My current one is a 4 qt one. Thanks for your suggestion. I just looked these up on the internet. http://www.hamiltonbeach.com/products/3-in-one-slow-cookers-3-in-one-slow-cooker\ -blackstainless.php Those removeable stoneware pots fit down completely inside the base don't they? I think they have them raised in picture to show you the stoneware container better, but thought I would ask you to make sure. Thanks, Judy - Linda ) Wednesday, July 23, 2008 1:14 PM Re: Re: broken crockpot --- <jtwigg wrote: > > I think it must be a 2 qt size or so. > They usually have some beans in them. > Maybe one day I'll pick one up. > Judy Judy, If I could, I would like to recommend the Hamilton Beach 3 in 1 slow cooker. That way, it 'knows' the size you are using and adapts to it. Also, you CAN get it in colors, but it is more expensive. The 'cooker' itself does sort of have flowers on it. Kind of swirly. Ha! Not to mention shipping charges. Also, from time to time, they have 'Roll-Back' prices on it, and you can get it much cheaper. I think I got mine for around $40.00.
