Guest guest Posted August 11, 2009 Report Share Posted August 11, 2009 Crockpot Old-Fashioned Egg Custard 4 eggs 2/3 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 4 cups milk, scalded 1 tsp.vanilla extract generous grating of fresh nutmeg In a mixing bowl or food processor beat together the eggs, sugar, and salt until thoroughly combined. Whisk in the milk, vanilla, and nutmeg and blend thoroughly. Pour into the crockpot and cook covered on high heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until the tip of a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and serve chilled.
