Guest guest Posted August 22, 2009 Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 BBQ Tofu Sandwiches 4 blocks of extra firm tofu (press out water, freeze, then thaw and press out water again) slice into 1/4 inch slices 3 bottles of your favorite bbq sauce. in crock pot pour bbq sauce to cover bottom, layer in slices of tofu, more bbq sauce, more tofu etc.. until all tofu is used up then top with rest of sauce. Cook on low all day or high for 4-5 hours. Serve on buns- we like toasted whole wheat sour dough bread- with some veganaise. We also love Ciabatta rolls for sandwiches and veggie burgers. I bet they would be great with this too. It's so hard for me to eat when Mark's in for his chemo treatments, and this will be great for that after being out all day for that!
