I have 2 questions....

Do you make your own vegetable stock, if so, how? If you buy it, where? Is

it in a can at the grocery store?

This sounds like a good receipe. Thank you for sharing..... but please help

me with the above.

Thanks,

CSheppard

Hi Cindy,

Great to see you here.

Yes you can buy it in a can, by brands like swansons, Campbells, Imagine. It

is found near the meat broths. There are also vegetarian boullion cubes, in

brands like Maggi, Knorr, Edward & Sons Garden Veggie, The Organic Gourmet

Vegetable Boullion.

Then there is Vegetable Better Than Boullion . It is a paste in a jar that you

mix with water. I've found it in Super Targets and other grocery stores.

Also in Whole Foods and other Health Food Stores.

http://www.amazon.com/Better-Than-Bouillon-Vegetable-Base/dp/B00016LA9S

Then there are the vegetarian Bill's Best and McKay's Seaonings that are

wonderful. You can recreate chick*en and be*f broth that are all vegetarian to

put in soups, gravies, rice ect. I love these and use them all the time.

You can find them in health food stores, on Amazon and many places online.

Also since you are in the Atlanta area, go to the Adventist Book Center on

Memorial Drive. They have an excellent Health food store and these product

amoung many are found there.

I'm not the OP, but wanted to share what I do re vegetable broth. I keep all of

my vegetable trimmings, like celery and carrot peels, onion bits, just about

everything, saving them in a baggie in the freezer. When it gets full, I put in

the pressure cooker, add hot water and cook for 15 minutes then strain (though

you could use a regular pan and cook about 45 min). It makes about 2

quarts...what I don't use right away, I freeze.

One of our local grocery stores had short-dated Imagine organic broth for $1.00

a quart. I bought six; I can't make it for that price.
