Guest guest
Hi Alice, I've been a vegetarian for over a year now although my husband is a meat eater. I handle this situation by cooking what I want to eat and he cooks his meat to go along with his meal. I cannot change my husband and I realize that so instead of fighting about it we compromise. I never make two separate meals, he just adds the meat of his choice to what I make for dinner. Actually he has cut down on his meat intake a lot because he usually likes what I make. ;-) Good luck and hang in there. Brandie ;-) Alice Shearer [eggcetera] Tuesday, October 24, 2000 7:20 AM Re: Re: Un Hi Everyone, I too am a new member. Am interested in finding veggie recipes that I can incorporate into a meal for myself, while feeding a meat loving husband. He admits he doesn't feel well after eating red meats, and I don't either. I am perfectly willing to go meat free. He on the other hand is not. I am interested in foods that will be mainly for me, but available for him to try if he chooses to do so. How have others of you dealt with this problem? When I met my husband, I was down to eating only chicken and fish, and cutting way back on them as well. He was a professional chef at the time, and it wasn't long before I was back to my old bad habits, even though I knew I felt better when avoiding red meat especially. You may not hear from me often, but be assured that I will be " listening " .
