Anyone on this list interested?? i am rady to help. We can post in specialty and maybe health food stores. Some health food stores may be against it. Any chance of getting a nutritional breakdown. tHIS MAY HELP IF IT IS NUTRITIOUS. Opps sorry that darm cap lock. I heard that mainstream people do not want the veg burger. Would love to see one lf the chains start then others follow suit! I doubt they sell many of each chicken sandwich. I think they have some sandwiches more popular than others. I know this would be a hit with the weightwatching and veg teen growing populations!
Guest guest
If it helps, Harveys (aka Swiss Chalet) has had veggie burgers on the market for over a year now, you may be able to get some market info from them. Well, they have the veggie burger in Canada, I can't speak for anywhere else. juliejulz wrote: In a message dated 11/1/00 1:44:51 AM Pacific Standard Time, writes: petition to McD's, but so far, no luck doing that. Guest guest
Here in Europe veggie burgers and salads are available...in the US, I know Appleby's has an excellent burger...and any burger on the menu can be made w/ a veggie patty. I think the same goes for other chains of the kind. Also, depending on your area, there are mom+pop veggie/fast food restaurants. Hope this helps. --Lynda -- Carrie Nixon <cnixon (AT) eGroups (DOT) com November 2, 2000 2:20:40 AM GMT Re: McD petition If it helps, Harveys (aka Swiss Chalet) has had veggie burgers on the market for over a year now, you may be able to get some market info from them. Guest guest
No, I'm not positive they're entirely vegan, but I'm 99% sure they are vegetarian. But they are cooked on the same grill as the meat ones. I think there is an ingredients list you can ask for. Yes, the texture is very similar to meat but there isn't the grease that you get with meat. If there was meat in them, and people found out, Harveys would have one heck of a problem on their hands! I don't think they'd risk it. And they're priced competitively with the other " burgers " . Sorry I can't be more sure!
