Guest guest
My name is Christi and I'm a 30 year old SAHM(stay at home mom) to Baylee who is three and Drew is 11 1/2 months. I have been a lacto- ovo vegetarian for seven years and I am raising my kids the same. My dh eats meat away from the house, but not much. I am getting where I don't prepare much for him. I am always looking for quick and easy recipes that will agree with small children too. I'm looking forward to finding lots of great ideas. Thanks, Christi in Ark. Guest guest
Christi My name is Rachel and I'm a 35 year old SAHM to Becky who is 3 1/2 years old. My husband and I have been lacto-ovo vegetararians for about six years, and we are raising our child the same. Becky would eat everything we ate until she turned two. Then she decided she did not like vegetables. She likes tofu, and rice. She will sometimes eat baked beans or refried beans. She will also eat (sometimes) Morning Star farms veggie nuggets. I must say they are very good. She also likes the standard kid foods of grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, peanut butterm and Pizza. She will drink milk sometimes. We juice carrots and she will drink carrot juice on occasion. One thing that is quick and easy is Ramin Noodle soup with Tofu. Sometimes I can sneak in some vegetables and she will eat them. She will eat miso soup in a Japanese restaurant and she will eat the seaweed that she thinks is spinach. Health food stores have vegetarian Ramin Noodle packages as well as whole wheat Macaroni and Cheese (which is not bad). Cheese usually goes over fairly well. Becky will eat fruit. Somedays she eats a lot and others she will not. For us we make tacos with veggie crubles quite a bit, as will as seitan stir fry with broccoli. That is really good especially if you use the seitan with teriaki sauce! MM good. Rachel in NY BTW are there many vegetarians in Ark? minimom2000 wrote: > My name is Christi and I'm a 30 year old SAHM(stay at home mom) to > Baylee who is three and Drew is 11 1/2 months. Guest guest
My name is Laura and I'm a 34 year-old lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 14 years now. My husband also became one about 11 years ago. We've been married almost 12 years but have decided not to have children. We do have 3 dogs that have been rescued. We've tried going vegan quite a few times. We do it every year for lent and I actually lasted 9 months. Otherwise we still have some now and then. We do use Rice Milk and Nayonnaise and I eat veggie singles but occasionally we'll get a pizza. We live in New Jersey and have a great veggie Chinese restaurant that we go to a lot. I'm happy to have found this site. alanzol <alanzol Monday, February 12, 2001 4:37 PM Re: My intro. >Christi >My name is Rachel and I'm a 35 year old SAHM to Becky who is 3 1/2 years >old.
