I'm having trouble understanding why there is no Moderater to watch over this List......if there is none, I'll be leaving...I have too much mail as it is without reading all these totally off-topic subjects for what I signed up for. Does anyone know? :-)

The list details state that it is unmoderated, but there should still be a list owner around somewhere to take care of stuff like this. I emailed the list owner a few days ago regarding a different issue, but have yet to get a response.

You won't get a response. We went through this several months ago &

nothing changed. Some people left & started other groups.

Personally, I just read the messages at the website, so I can just

skip over them.

My computer is too slow to make it practical to read at the website :-(

The other issue I emailed the moderator about was that email attachments are

permitted on this list. I am doing a drastic overhaul

of my email security as a result of receiving some *extremely* nasty photographs

(child porn) by email a few days ago. So, since the

moderation here seems so lacking, I'm afraid I'll be unsubbing. :-(

I'll miss all the delicious-sounding recipes, but then I do have enough archived

to last me about 10 years....!

Best wishes to all,

Deborah

It is sad to see people leaving the list because of the lack of moderation.

I would like to, one more time (I know that it seems like I am always

plugging it!) suggest my new groupd:

Vege-Talk

It is a FULLY moderated group that DOES NOT allow email attachments.

This is the last time that I will plug it, honest!

Thanks!

Scott.

Personally I don't mind an unmoderated list. I just delete what I don't

want. I've never liked having a babysitter. I'm on a dog list where she

doesn't moderate & we're all very close friends. We've had a couple

of troublemakers join but we've told them off & driven them away, all

with her support. She respects us as mature intelligent people. I also

realize the list is probably unusual because people have actually visited

each other & become good friends. Amywho that's just my choice. Vic

I hear ya!!

people just keep in mind the original purpose of the group.... " quick

vegetarian cooking " :-) we wanted " quick " is because our time is precious.

So, unless the message has some vegetarian recipes on it, please do not

waste our time... thank you!!
