Guest guest
Never seen it, but I would rather marinate my own. Then I know I will like it. Sometimes the grocery store has different ideas about what tastes good. On the other hand, if you try it and hate it, they would probably let you bring it back for a refund. Guest guest
Kris , thank you for your reply. Do you have a recipe / how do you make your marinated tofu? What do you marinate it in? It has been a while since I have picked up a block of tofu and I am thinking maybe I should since I am totally a vegetarian. Thanks. regards,Lori Ghanymoderator: walkitoff
Guest guest
I've been wondering about it too. I think I'll press my own tofu & marinate it. lori_i_am wrote: while perusing the very limited vegetarian case at my local supermarket I keep noticing marinated tofu but after picking up the package I immediately put it back on the shelf. It looks really gross.Has anyone actually tried this stuff??still wondering how it tastes.....regards, Lori Ghany moderator: walkitoff contact owner: -owner Mail list: Delivered-mailing list List-Un: - no flaming arguing or denigration of others allowed contact owner with complaints regarding posting/list or anything else. Guest guest
Hi there, I have tried some of the marinated tofu products in the supermarket. The last one was a mexican variety. All the ones I've had, regardless of the brand, were really horrible! I don't know how they do it in resteraunts. I've had some great tofu dishes in resteraunts. But I can't seem to get it to taste right at home. That was when I started trying the marinated varieties in the various stores. I really did think they were ALL horrible. Just an observation.
