It is also currently used in most children's antibiotics and many over the counter products. Every time my Nate has been prescribed antibiotics, I always ask for one without aspartame, it is getting harder and harder to find them. The docs I have dealt with are oblivious to any possible detrimental effect, they tell me I am being overly concerned, one actually had the nerve to hand me the PDR and told me to find one myself. Personally, I remember the first diet Pepsi I had sweetened with it, I got a horrific headache, passed it off as a migraine. After the next two sodas and two more headaches, I was convinced the stuff was poison and have not had a diet soda since. (I don't really drink soda much). Next time your child is prescribed antibiotics tell your physician you want an antibiotic without aspartame. If the doctors don't want to prescribe meds containing aspartame, the drug companies won't put it in our children's medicine. Feel free to pass this on if you think it would be useful.
