" I bought the firm and I froze it. After defrosting I pressed out all of the fluid that I could get out of it. Then I dipped it into Italian dressing and seasoned bread crumbs and then fried it. I didn't use any sauce but it was really good. I liked the texture much better than my first attempt. I just thought I would let you know in case someone out there still has some tofu stareing at them Robyn Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Messenger http://phonecard./
Guest guest
Another idea, if you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian, try mixing some grated parmesan, asiago, or romano cheese in with the bread crumbs. That way you get a bit of a cheesy flavor too, ala mozerella sticks. megan - One Traveler Monday, July 30, 2001 1:17 PM Changing the subject to Recipes! Guest guest
I did it before when I was coating chicken with crumbs to bake & give it sort of a cheesy taste w/o making some big-ass cheese sauce to go with it. :-) Laziness on my part I guess. *hehee* Megan - One Traveler Monday, July 30, 2001 2:28 PM Re: Changing the subject to Recipes! --- Megan Milligan <yasminduran wrote:> Another idea, if you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian, try> mixing some grated parmesan, asiago, or romano> cheese in with the bread crumbs.
