ICE sent this: " I like to slice my tofu and then dip

it into Italian Seasoned bread crumbs

and then fry it and serve with spaghetti sauce to dip

in... yummmy = )You might also get the firm tofu. "

I bought the firm and I froze it. After defrosting I

pressed out all of the fluid that I could get out of

it. Then I dipped it into Italian dressing and

seasoned bread crumbs and then fried it. I didn't use

any sauce but it was really good. I liked the texture

much better than my first attempt. I just thought I

would let you know in case someone out there still has

some tofu stareing at them :)

Another idea, if you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian, try mixing some grated parmesan, asiago, or romano cheese in with the bread crumbs. That way you get a bit of a cheesy flavor too, ala mozerella sticks.

Thanks! I'm not eating dairy products but I do have

some soy based " cheese " and I'm going to try it with

that. Sounds good.

I did it before when I was coating chicken with crumbs to bake & give it sort of a cheesy taste w/o making some big-ass cheese sauce to go with it. :-)

Laziness on my part I guess. *hehee*
