Guest guest
hi, all. i've not visited this site for awhile (and never did write a " hello " email when i joined), but i'm finally doing both, and have a recipe to share: savory pasta sauce 1 package melissa's soyrizo (this is key--the wonderful spices make the sauce very unique) 2 cans whole pear tomatoes with basil 1 cup olive oil (more or less to taste) lots of garlic cloves (again, to taste) salt and pepper to taste with a little olive oil heated in the pan, fry the soyrizo per the directions on the package. while this cooks, put garlic cloves and olive oil in a blender or food processor and chop until garlic cloves are fairly fine. Then, add one can of the tomatoes and blend until smooth; put this in a saucepan. Put remaining can of tomatoes in the blender and chop, leaving the sauce chunky; add this to the pan as well. Finally, stir in cooked soyrizo. Simmer on low for 30-45 minutes making sure to stir the olive oil in as it cooks (it will rise to the top. Salt and pepper to taste. i use linguini for this recipe (it holds up well with medium to thick pasta), or any hearty variety of pasta you like best. YOU WILL LOVE THIS RECIPE!! cbg
