Guest guest
Hi Jenn. Your recipe looks good also. I didn't get a chance to mention how the sweet potatoes are good mixed with spicy dishes. Somewhere I posted a veggie spicy hash that has sweet potatoes in it. Hang in there, I used to cook multiple meals myself but it seems over time you will find recipes to integrate together. I used to have to cover my ex's food with spice, I can't handle too much spice, then there were my sisters 3 kids I raised and one lived on veggies the other wanted a pound of cheese a day and the other one was a human garbage disposal and you could toss anything his way and don't forget cooking for my Mom that has always been a vegetarian like myself so I would start the dish and pull ours out first then add a lot more of veggies and serve the niece and then toss some cheese and feed one more kid and then add the hot spice and TVP LOL and feed the ex along with the last kid that ate anything and by the way they never knew it was TVP.....hahaha If anything was left over the football buddies got the balance after school the next day....Let me know if you want a few Ethopian recipes for your mom. If she had an African dish here in Calif. chances are it was Ethopian and I have a few more good ones....Happy Saturday! We've told him that we've become vegeterians (his dad and I) and it hasn't quite clicked yet. It can get frustrating making two different meals, but it is worth it. I'm not going back to meat. Some recipes, I do make and not tell him. ie Lasagna, spaghetti, and goolash. Notice the theme. I can fool him there, just need to think of some more stuff. Guest guest
Yes tell her to join. Maybe she will find good tips from the members and find some great recipes in the file to try. Who knows what she was eating. There's a woman at work that called herself a vegetarian but I only see her in the vending machine and she drinks about 6 Cokes a day and hates veggies and doesn't cook so I think she's a junkaterian instead.LOL You're welcome, I have more recipes to post. Donna Jennifer <jj_73molly wrote: As for the recipes, thank you. I'm about ready to tell mom to join our group. Don't know if she will, but it is worth a try. I know I will be giving her recipes to try. She tried being a veggie but she said she was hungry all the time and gained weight. I don't know what she was eating since she was in Tuscan, AZ at the time. By the way, she's bringing the menu from the restaurant. I can't wait to see it. Have a great weekend and thanks again for the recipe. " First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is. Caterpillar sheds his skin to find a butterfly within.......... Guest guest
What are you going to cook up over the weekend??? It's nice when the weather cools down, I love using the oven but it sure heats up the house during the summer months. DonnaJennifer <jj_73molly wrote: I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My parents for awhile lived in Tuscan. I used to pick on them about it being a "dry heat." After I visited them for a week in August, I stopped picking on them. It was amazing how much heat one can tolerate if there is very little humidity. Hopefully next summer will be more enjoyable. I want to try to grow some Thai basil since I've been getting into Thai food. Or all sorts of food, now Have a great day.
