I wonder if I stuck a hunk with a root in a baggy with a wet paper towl and mailed it priority mail if that would work. As long as the root is alive it should work. Hummmmmmmm

Does anyone know????????

might work, think I'd call or email some garden supply places and ask. some plants can't be sent to some states. fruit trees to CA, AZ + WA comes to mind, don't know about other plantspeace, Angela who I am is fine, it's just this body that's disabled!

Thanks Angela. It's so hard to find this herb here even. I know you can buy the seeds online and it's very easy to grow. That might be easier....DonnaAngela <angelaamy2001 wrote:

Donna, I've done that.. wrap the root in the wet paper towel, then in

foil, and then put a ziploc-type around the root part and zip up so

only the stem is sticking out.... pack your junk mail papers around it

so it doesn't bang around in the box...

*hugs*

Amy thanks, this is a hard to kill off herb. I will see if I can find a seed packet so she can grow some on the windowsill first. DonnaAmy <sandpiperhiker wrote:

That should work. I dug up some hosta rhizomes to mail to someone. I

added lots of soil to a plastic bag and since the soil was dry I added

a couple of sprinkles of water. Then I put the rhizomes in, sealed the

bag with just a little air hole and mailed priority.

The person who received them said they came in great condition.
