anyone with solution to ants on counter? we have never had them but

they were all over my corn muffins this morning. I didn't realize what

they were at first and I didn't think I had put poppy seeds on them

and then they moved. Is there anything I can spray around

windows/doors that might naturally repel them? I have heard that mint

tea spritzed deters them but really have no idea. anyone???

I've heardboric acid powder sprinkled near the entry ways prevents

them from coming in. But be careful if you have pets that can get in

it. Otherwise, I'm not much use to you; I'm sorry!

Boric Acid is made from a natural element (boron) and is safe to use

around children and pets. Check out this website for more information

than you've ever wanted on Boric Acid:

Further down the page is a little recipe just for ants. We bought some

boron (powder form) and made a spray for the boring beetle infestation

we had in our house in Oregon. It worked great!

Try vinegar splashed liberally around your fridge, stove and entry areas. That has worked for me in the past!

I use vinegar for cleaning - I have two of those oil misters, that you

can pump to make an aerosol... one has oil for cooking, the other has

white vinegar for cleaning. Each night after I wipe down the

counters, stove, etc, I spray the surfaces with vinegar. Supposed to

kill germs, and the scent disappears quickly (though it sure smells

better than canned cat food! :-).
