Guest guest
Does anyone here keep a small stockpile of food in case of emergencies? I was reading on another board about it and was wondering about any thoughts? I have thought it would be nice to have 3-6 months of stock in case of natural disasters, financial crises, etc but have really no idea where to start as a veggie. Does anyone know of any good websites for stocking a vegetarian pantry? I am going to do some more looking this week and attempt to formulate a plan for our house. Guest guest
hahaha I had a bottle of water leak from the bottom drawer in the file cabinet and the boss called out the plumber thinking a pipe broke under the floor.. PANTIES! LOLPuterWitch <puterwitch wrote: it is early, and Donna, when I read your post I thought it said, "we don't have panties out here." Hubby used to keep bottles of water but we forgot about them and after a year they had evaporated!! How bout that. I always have canned goods on hand. Here in Philadelphia our onlyworry would be a terrorist attack as we have never gotten a hurricane Blessings, Chanda - purplepassion Sunday, September 25, 2005 8:05 AM Re: stocking-up Hi Anne Being in Calif and always hearing about earthquakes and being told to keep things in stock this is what I have plenty of. We don't have pantries out here, so I have a tall wooden shelf in my attached garage and it contains several gallon bottles of water, can opener, batteries, flashlights, plenty of canned fruit, veggies, beans, canned nuts, peanut butter, fruit spread and boxed crackers. I mark dates on the items and as I use or donate anything to a program I replace it. At work I have a file cabinet and the bottom shelf has water and a few food items also.
