veg. shortening

Hi all,

I have a question for ya! When a recipe calls for veg. shortening, what can

I use. Is there a " healthy " shortening. The ones in the store are man made

and I don't eat man made! lol!

Julie - While no shortening is truly " healthy " , Spectrum Naturals

makes an organic shortening, made with palm oil (not hydrogenated or

partially hydrogenated - it's naturally solid at room temperature).

Warning, it's better for you, but worse for your wallet! Good thing

it's used in " moderation " !

You guys are the biggest help!! It is a little more costly but it will be worth it in the long run. Good thing I get paid tomorrow. I will order it then!
