Hi!

I am having trouble in figuring out what to season my foods with. Like pintos?

I used to season with ham... greens, used to be bacon drippings... need some

advice here because see this is getting into the autmn season and I eat a lot of

pintos and cornbread and greens. So any suggestions would sure be appreciated!

:)

Hi barb, and welcome to the group!

Try different oils and see what tickles your fancy. I like sesame and peanut, but there are many others. Garlic is great on everything! Garlic is wonderful. YUM.

Blessings of Welcome,

Chanda

Thank you Chanda!

I was like your sister " Martha " at one time thinking I was a vegetarian and

still eating chicken and fish..but I sure have learned a lot since then (not so

long ago) but I am starting to feel a whole lot better in my body and that is

only in 3 or 4 days! :)

I will try different oils. I at one time had several flavored oils. I will get

a collection again.

me too.

Well, just the fish. Like Jerry Seinfeld says he is a vegetarian but he eats fish.

Once I heard this it cleared it up for me, "if it has a face, and you eat it, you are not a veg"

LOL

so glad to hear you are doing so much better!

Blessings,

Chanda

Hail to Garlic! I'm like Emeril with my garlic. Tend to use it with a rather heavy hand. Just can't get enough of the stuff!PuterWitch <puterwitch wrote:

OMG me too Kim!

funny, growing up my mom was " not allowed " to cook with it, in fact, we " weren't

allowed " to even order a pizza!! " the smell was too strong of garlic " Gads I

loved pizza too, when I got a chance to eat it I would scarf down 4 slices,

people didn't know where I put it I was such a stringbean, LOL

Now that I am grown my house always smells of garlic, tee hee, and I am sick of

pizza.

hugs,

Chanda
