Guest guest
I've never seen this brand. I'm in Calif. so we might not have it but I will remember that. Look in our files, Chanda posted a buffalo wing recipe I believe it's under Tofu TVP or meat substitutes area. Guest guest
It was actually her recipe posted last week that inspired me to finally try the powdered stuff. I guess I just bought the wrong brand. I'm curious though, for anyone who has tried the powdered packet method, were the wings very dry? What I love about them when I get them in a restaurant is how they are all gooey and saucy. We have done it with our Hoboken Eddie's hot sauce (which we think tastes a lot like Buffalo sauce) but it's a little expensive to use half a jar on tofu. I guess it's worth it, but the Hoboken Eddies is not cheap ($8 a bottle). I mean, heck, we'd probably spend $4 ordering them out and plus at home we also have to pay for the tofu and the blue cheese dressing and the carrot sticks. So that's no longer a very economical meal! Granted, if I didn't live in NYC I probably couldn't *get* them out anywhere. ;-) -Craige On 10/12/05, purplepassion <thelilacflower wrote: > > I've never seen this brand. Guest guest
No, it's not your fault! I just used a regular block of tofu. I wasn't thinking, but I should have realized that it would be dry. I will definitely look for that marinade. Guest guest
ohhhhh ok. well next time get the litelife chicken pieces. They are presesasoned with something but it doesn't matter. If you don't want it as hot don't use all of the seasoning, or don't put too much of the marinade on. Also, I dip them in bleu cheese when I am eating them, it not only adds flavor but it cuts down on the hotness. ) blessings, Chanda - Craige Moore Wednesday, October 12, 2005 7:15 PM Re: Beware of Buffalo wing spice packets Hi Craige No, it's not your fault! Guest guest
I love my wings with blue cheese dressing, too. Ken's makes a fat free one that tastes just like the real thing to me and it's nice and chunky. But those wings with Williams seasoning were so hot, coating them in blue cheese didn't even help. Guest guest
Oops, sorry for not being clear. I meant Ken's Steak House sells a fat free blue cheese dressing. 'Tis all! By the way, as I was throwing away what was left of the Buffalo wing seasoning last night, I noticed a URL listed: http://williamsfoods.com/ -Craige On 10/12/05, PuterWitch <puterwitch wrote: > > well do post his recipe!!! > > hugs, > Chanda > - > Craige Moore > > Wednesday, October 12, 2005 10:56 PM > Re: Beware of Buffalo wing spice packets Hi > Craige > > > I love my wings with blue cheese dressing, too.
