Guest guest
I just uploaded some pictures of our new kitty, Wicky... and of course, my pictures of Appelpaj! =) this one seemed to come out more like Donna described... with the dough seeping into the apples... I used 1/4 cup melted Earth Balance 1/2 cup soymilk 1 cup sugar 1 cup wheat flour. I swear it doesn't matter how you do it, this pie is awesome! =) jenni

Your kids are too! Your appelpaj looks similar to mine on top. I used SmartBalance margarine, soymilk & whole wheat pastry...
Guest guest
=) Thanks Amy! I have to post the other appelpaj that I made... That one I used olive oil.. and it was a thicker dough that I had to spoon on top... it had a crunchier pastry.. both were delish. Funny that we both used soymilk! oh.. and I added some flax meal too. =) Jenni On Monday, October 17, 2005, at 08:23 PM, Amy wrote: > > > Wicky is just gorgeous!!! I think the margarines have enough water to thin the dough. > Funny that we both used soymilk! oh.. and I added some flax meal > too. I only have cowmilk in the house if family is visiting. I'll have to try adding flax meal next time.
