Guest guest
hi angela! hi guys! i think you have to try nata de coco first before you can figure out what you want to do with it. this is straight from wikipedia: Nata de coco is a chewy, translucent, jelly-like food product produced by the bacterial fermentation of coconut water. Nata de coco is most commonly sweetened as a candy or dessert, and can accompany many things including pickles, drinks, ice cream, and fruit mixes. The product originates from the Philippines. Nata de coco is highly regarded for its high dietary fiber, and its zero fat and cholesterol content. No preservatives or other chemicals are added to Nata de coco. and of course, there's a picture there of a can of Dole nata de coco, which we don't have here. nata is so common here that it's a bit weird for me to see that Dole has it. (even more weird: it comes in star shapes! we only have them as squares!) because of this, i'm guessing that you have it in asian markets there. in this article, though, it didn't mention that the u.s. has nata de coco. but then it's dated june 9, 2004, so i think it won't hurt to check out your local asian market for nata de coco. that same article lists nata de coco's benefits and what you can do with it/how you eat it. by the way, this is what it looks like. i hope i've given you guys a good alternative.
