Guest guest
This sounds very good and simple. I am always looking for lentil recipes...since there no need for soaking;) Thanks! Bonus - just make some great veggie broth. Guest guest
Hi Mike: Not a stupid question. I use dried lentils, they take about 20 minutes to soften. Just wash and throw into a pot of water. Usually a 2 to 1 ratio like rice bring to a boil and simmer for about 20 minutes. Gayle
Guest guest
okokok so finally do i cook the rice and lentils before I bake them or throw them in dry? mike my trade lists http://www.geocities.com/realshows my launch radio station http://launch./lc/?rt=0 & rp1=0 & rp2=1281193352

Mike, just measure them out (dry), look at them and take out any pebbles, clumps of mud, or rotten lentils (all of this is rare, but better to look now than break a tooth on a pebble!). Then give them a quick rinse in a colander, and assemble the recipe. For this recipe, the baking part *is* the cooking; usually the recipe will specify " cooked lentils " or " cooked rice " if they're already cooked. :-) You'll do fine though - just try it! :-) *hugs* Amy
