Guest guest
Has anyone heard of Melaleuca: The Wellness Company? My mom went to a demonstration and has been raving about the products and such. I was just wondering if any one else here had heard of and uses their products. DONNA: HI Lady Loo. I have been working on NANO novel (up to 3207 words in 2 days) so haven't posted much. Anyway, how ya doing? Traci: Yes, I was referring to you when I asked about how long you've been vegetarian. I know only one other vegetarian here were I live. She doesn't really cook; she says she heats things up like from cans etc. So this group has been lovely! COOKERS!! Guest guest
I have been buying the products for a while. They have tested on animals in the past but the company says they no longer do...I dunno. I just know that the products work well (cleaning) and they don't make me sick or give me a rash. And since I am poor they are the best alternative to the products I get from health food stores. The Tough and Tender cleaner is fabulous. You just reminded me I have to place an order... My only gripe. To get the good prices you have to buy a certain amount each month. I stick to the cleaning products cause I like my soaps and stuff a friend of mine makes. The vitamins are veg safe too! Very good stuff. Again...has been tested at one time but supposedly not anymore. --- J Rouge <spice_e_talula_rouge wrote: > Has anyone heard of Melaleuca: The Wellness Company? > My mom went to a demonstration and has been raving > about the products and such. Guest guest
I had a friend that loved Melaluca products! I had forgotten about that! It seems odd that a natural, non-toxic company would test on animals! Do they label the products cruelty free? Oh, well, if they say they don't test...I'm going to check on line to browse for their products. I have been trying to convince myself that the old baking soda, vinegar trick cleans just as well as packaged products. There really are times when you do need a deep clean! Guest guest
They aren't labeled cruelty free yet...said they are working on it but since they recently stopped they can't label it yet (??) The thing about using these products is they make your house smell so good and vinegar doesn't. --- Melissa Palicka <mapalicka wrote: > I had a friend that loved Melaluca products! Guest guest
I know this will sound horrible.. but I was not as much worried about testing on animals. Since I do nto currently use " natural " products I wanted to know if they were really NATURAL. I'm tired of all the chemicals in my house even though some of them smell good. (Speaking of which are soy candles really all that?). I was reading the Natural Cures book and never realized just how much crap is toxic ... just never think about it 'cause it " normal " to use. IE air fresheners... lable says don't ingest but hello .. breathing is a form of ingestion .. just never click in my brain that way you know? Anyway.. so you recommend the products? They are worth the price and work and are actually the natural they claim to be? I'm willing to try just don't want to shell out money for false adverts .. you know. Thanks, J Lyn Off to sleepy time now zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Melissa Hill <assilembob wrote: They aren't labeled cruelty free yet...said they are working on it but since they recently stopped they can't label it yet (??) Guest guest
They are CHEAP! I bought the spring cleaning package in March...Tough and Tender, Soul-u-mel, Tub and tile, Sol-u-guard and the melamagic cleaners for around $30 (I think) and the tub and tile, sol-u-guard are still 1/2 full. I have bought more T & T and sol-u-mel cuase they are so useful. I use those last two DAILY. I have only had to buy them twice. My bathtub says very clean. Mildews less. My toilet stays clean longer...I love them. One bottle of Tub and tile makes 4 spray bottles of cleaner. (the bottles are extra but a one time expense...I bought one for each cleaner and refil as needed.) I also use the laundry stuff...and it's the only stuff that does not give me rashes (unless I get Seventh Gen...that is so expensive) and the one bottle has lasted me March to Sept. doing 6-8 loads every a month. It's 5.99 for the PC price. On the natural side. My cousin (who got me into the products...she's a consultant) said the lady who signed her up was cutting up raw chicken and her two year old licked the cutting board. She poured T & T on her tongue, called poison control and they told her just to give the kid water cause there was nothing poisonous in the cleaner and it probably helped keep the kid from getting sick from the raw chicken. (that's what you get for eating dead animal though!!) My cousin got into this after finding out some bad stuff about Johnson and Johnson's baby stuff...and researched and found Melaleuca. Rain is her first grandbaby and she is very protective and now they only use melaleuca prodcuts. ~Mel --- J Rouge <spice_e_talula_rouge wrote: > I know this will sound horrible.. but I was not as > much worried about testing on animals. Guest guest
Thanks for all the information ~ I'll have to check this out too. I have used 7th Generation too ($$$) but usually make my own cleaning products w/ baking soda, vinegar etc. We're allergic to everything it seems! I walked into a gas station last night and proclaimed - loud enough for people to look at me - " ewww what's that smell?! " My throat was irritated as well as my eyes. When it was my turn at the register, I saw the scented candle merrily burning away on the counter ($7.95 each!) oops! LOL Anyhoo, I prefer all natural/organic products whenever possible.
