Guest guest
Oh I'm glad you didn't think it was long winded. I tend to overdo things sometimes... LOL I knew of another little girl years ago who refused to eat ANY animal product.. One day her mother was making fish and she asked what it was...and that was the end of her eating any kind of animal again. She refuses to drink cow's milk, too. My kids know the difference between cow's milk and milk derived from soy or rice... So far they don't care either way about it... But I am sure some day we'll all convert to soy milk or rice milk! My midwife doesn't seem to worry about my weight gain (or lack thereof) so I am not too worried either. If anything I am shocked! LOL I could have sworn I have gained at least 20 pounds!! , purplepassion <thelilacflower> wrote: > > This isn't long winded, I really enjoyed reading about you and your family and the transition and you taking the time to answer the group question. Guest guest
just as long as you are getting your vitamins, and your prenatal is a backup so that rocks. The only vitamin that we really have to worry about is b-12 as I read that is not gotten properly from veg sources, so I use nutritional yeast flakes, thanks to Donna for my b-12. Guest guest
Yeah you know I was wondering about that. Do eggs contain vitamin B- 12? I am an egg fanatic... LOL Especially being pregnant--it's become a normal part of my diet. It took me a while to get into a routine of taking my prenatals but when I read of the problems that the baby can go through if the mother doesnt take her vitamins, I started taking them consistently. I take them at night--it's the only time I am in my bedroom (other than in the mornings...) and that is where I keep the vitamins. , " PuterWitch " <puterwitch@c...> wrote: > > just as long as you are getting your vitamins, and your prenatal is a backup so that rocks. > The only vitamin that we really have to worry about is b-12 as I read that is not gotten properly from veg sources, so I use nutritional yeast flakes, thanks to Donna for my b-12. > > Hugs, > Chanda > - > Jeaninne > > Friday, November 04, 2005 5:28 PM > Re: question for the group Hi Jeannine > > > Oh I'm glad you didn't think it was long winded. Oh, Jeaninne, my midwife would love you. She wants me to eat at least one egg a day and I have a hard time doing that. I'm pretty fickle about eggs and since being pregnant, can only eat them certain ways. I did a quick Google search and found that B12 is abundant in eggs. Also read that the body stores B12 for years so deficiency is only common among vegans who don't take supplements. Here is one site that I read: http://www.shands.org/health/information/article/002403.htm Denise
Guest guest
forget the eggs if you wish. throw some nutritional yeast flakes in your food, it's great! - organic_homestead Monday, November 07, 2005 2:51 PM Re: question for the group Hi Jeannine , " Jeaninne " <jeaninneraaberg@s...> wrote: > > Yeah you know I was wondering about that.
