Guest guest
I made the crab cakes last night and I'll tell you they were delicious. Mo was here and he ate one and said, oh please remember me when you make them again Aunt Donna. I Chanda-ized them. I used her revision since I love using my yeast flakes also. I highly recommend them also.Donna " Diamond hard promises and million dollar bills. All the nights wasted in the Hollywood Hills. How funny, I just finished mixing some up ! revised it a bit this time, didn't have any green onion so grated in half a small white one,a carrot too, just one egg and some flax meal. ready to cook when I'm ready to eat! here's a couple useful sites: http://storesense.megawebservers.com/stores/HS229/index.html this one's da bomb, ya'll gotta try this stuff (shrooms, wonderful shrooms) Mitts the wonder kitty agrees, had to put the bag in a glass jar - she kept getting into the spice rack and chewing on it!! Guest guest
y aknow Donna, I can't say enough how great those yeast flakes are. They give things a very very mild cheesy flavor, but not too cheesy, it's so subtle, and the importance of us getting enough b-12 is there in those flakes. hugs, Chanda - purplepassion GROUP Saturday, November 05, 2005 3:38 PM Review of Crab Cakes I made the crab cakes last night and I'll tell you they were delicious. Guest guest
how much flax meal did you use. I was afraid because the recipe is wet to begin with, and thought the oilof the flax would be overkill. So glad you managed to make it work! anytime I can add flax or the yeast flakes I am happy. hugs, Chanda - Angela Saturday, November 05, 2005 6:45 PM Re: Review of Crab Cakes >purplepassion <thelilacflower wrote: >I made the crab cakes last night and I'll tell you they were delicious. I don't know, couple tablespoons prob, just threw some in. with adding a carrot and broccoli stalks that needed using up I had double the original recipe. last nights pattie was yummy but needed more 'stick-togetherness'. added some more bread crumbs and made it into a loaf today, in the oven now. hope it freezes well, as usual I made too much! Oh the joys of cooking for 1 - haha. peace, Angela who I am is fine, it's just this body that's disabled!
