Guest guest
Lovely picture, Lawanna! It is so nice to put a face to a name on the computer screen. Hi Gary. Yeah, it gets frustrating when pescatarins still refer to themselves as vegetarians instead of making the distinction! Confuses all the omnivores out there into thinking us vegs eat fish and or chicken, too sometimes. i actually still get asked by pals that have known me for a long time if i eat fish! A few weeks ago i went to a party and there was meat in every dish except the ones i brought, and the hostess said, " Oh gee, i thought you all still ate chicken, sorry " Grrrrrr. *lol* Doesn't help that movies confuse the issue as well. i was watching some Brit film about a bunch of stuffy folks at a manor house, and one of the guests was claiming to be vegetarian to the butler and requesting special cooking arragements for meals. The butler asked if he still ate fish, and the guest replied YES! :[ Wow. i didn't know yogurt had b12. Thanks for that info, Chanda. Amy, i have GOT to try that silk soy nog this year. Let me tell ya, whenever i see it in the store i think i will buy it next time i am shopping and then it is too late. People must love it and glom it all up. Then the stores don't seem to restock again until next year. ~ pt ~ Wrongs are often forgiven, but contempt never is. Guest guest
Reminds of the Mcdonalds ads when they were doing the veg. burger. " Might come into contact with meat and or chicken " Huh? Samantha Hi Gary. Yeah, it gets frustrating when pescatarins still refer to themselves as vegetarians instead of making the distinction! Guest guest
But I read recently online somewhere (can't remember where of course!) that dairy yogurt has gelatin in it. (grimace) But are y'all talkin' about soy yogurt, then? in that case it would be great to eat that, both for the taste, the good and the B12... Guest guest
Organic yoghurt doesn't have gelatin in it. But don't buy any of the national brands, such as yoplait, etc as they do. Guest guest
Hi Denise, Tonight at the store we found Soy yogurt! Woo hoo! in a big container. It's vanilla. As dh said, " we could get that and then put organic jam in it for flavoring. " Yep! We did check some of the organic yogurt and at least the Stonyfield brand " does " have gelatin in it. Which was disappointing as I used to love their banana yogurt. Thanks for the advice. Bron On 11/9/05, organic_homestead <organic_homestead wrote: > > Organic yoghurt doesn't have gelatin in it. Guest guest
Hi Bron: I don't think it is all dairy yogurts that have gelatin in them only some like the fat free ones. The best thing to do is check the ingredients on the yogurt itself. Gayle
