Craige and Donna, i remember back in the

60's and 70's when regular hamburger that

was served in our schools was commonly

mixed with tvp. i think they did it because

it was more econmical and stretched the food

budget. Even back then they knew soy was a

great protein source at a great price.

i wonder if factory farming is the reason that

positive step in the right direction changed?

 

Yay Paul! It is so fun to read your adventure into

new veggie foods. Yeast flakes are wonderful, eh?

You just go ahead and sprinkle them on just about

everything you make. i like it on popcorn! My pets

enjoy it, too.

 

Hi Teresa. i have a bunch of party food ideas that

i frequently take to parties where i am the only

vegetarian; we play dominoes once a month and

everyone brings a dish or two to share.

Here are some:

hummus dip & chips

veggie balls in BBQ sauce or sweet & sour

spinach dip in a bread bowl

artichoke olive dip

Broccoli Bites

Cajun Pecans

Cheesy Olive Snacks

Cherry Tomatoes Stuffed with Guacamole

Crisp Potato Skins

Hush Puppies

Italian Pretzels

Mexi-Deviled Eggs

Pepper-Corn Crackers
