Guest guest
I love(d) these and used to love making them. <wistful> I reckon there are some things you just can't veganize, though and I'm afraid this is one of 'em. Guest guest
I really don't see why this wouldn't work with veg margarine, Bron! And I'm sure I've seen vegan chocolate chips - you could mold the batter around two or three of those instead of a Hershey Kiss... , <southernflower@g...> wrote: > > I love(d) these and used to love making them. <wistful> I reckon there are > some things you just can't veganize, though and I'm afraid this is one of > 'em. > Bron > > On 11/11/05, Fiona f <mermaidfingers> wrote: > > > > > > Chocolate Filled Snowballs > > > > > > > > 1 cup butter or margarine ,softened > > > > 1/2 cup sugar > > > > 1 tsp. vanilla > > > > 2 cups flour > > > > 1 cup chopped nuts > > > > Hershey chocolate kisses > > > > > > > > powdered sugar ( to use for rolling cookies into) > > > > > > > > Preheat oven to 375. Guest guest
Yeah, thanks for being the tester, Melissa! I don't use Splenda or any artificial sweetener on principle, but I will look for the turbinado sugar. And I've seen Tropical brand chocolate chips (organic). As well, I HAVE seen (since I saw this recipe again, here, I mean) Hain's Organic Powdered Sugar and Brown Sugar. WOO HOO! I can do this now, I can do this and a lot of other things again, Yippee Ki Yi Yo, I am so happy... <g> Doesn't take much to make me happy, don't cha know. <wink> And! and! AND!!! I found the Willow Run soy butter in the Natural Foods refrigerated area at Krogers on Sunday afternoon!!! WOO HOOEE!!! (If I already said this, forgive me in my joy.) For cheaper than cow butter...If I could click my heels together like Dorothy, I would...LOL...Now I can feel that I have a 'baking home' again and that's pure-d wonderful! Thanks again, Melissa!
