Guest guest
Bron, is your husband really hyper, does he sleep? What are his symptoms he experiences with ADHD? Donna southernflower wrote: Okay, Anne, thank you for the information. My dh has very bad reactions to dairy with his ADHD, and as a diabetic, I do also, so I don't think I'll go that route. But it's nice to know you can, anyway. :>) Bron " Wooden Ships on the water, very free and easy. You know the way it's supposed to be. Silver people on the shoreline, let us be. Guest guest
He sleeps well now, as he has a good physical job. But he hyperfocuses, forgets to do chores, is " sure " he did or said something when he didn't, hyperverbalizes, has a short temper and sarcastic...maybe explosive would be the better term...has this 'black hole' in his brain to where, even when he writes something down and looks at it, he doesn't " see " it and doesn't do it (such as a grocery list, he will only see part of it and buy part of it), blurts out things (doesn't have a check between his mouth and his brain) that are inappropriate and embarrassing, has no concept of what is embarrassing socially (i.e., has no social skills much), on and on. That should be a good start for you. :>) Bron On 11/11/05, purplepassion <thelilacflower wrote: > > Bron, is your husband really hyper, does he sleep? Guest guest
On the plus side, he is very creative and imaginative and can fix almost anything. He thinks outside the box and it is invaluable to him in his repairman job. He also can be very, very sweet and loving, and is always very remorseful when things are pointed out that the ADHD has induced him to do. Didn't want anybody to think he's a bad person. He's not, he is just ill. Bron On 11/12/05, southernflower <southernflower wrote: > > He sleeps well now, as he has a good physical job. Guest guest
Hi Bron, I was just curious as to the symptoms. I'm extremely yperactive, never slept much as a kid and I'm even worse now, my mind is always racing and I can do 10 things at a time. I'm always playing beat the clock. I just wondered if he was like thsi. It's wonderful you understand him and have the patience. I know he's loving, he took very good care of you when your foot was in bad shape and even wrote in. southernflower wrote: He sleeps well now, as he has a good physical job. Guest guest
Yep, he's got those symptoms too. He complains of the " noise in his head " , describes it like a " background radio that you can't turn off " and says it's completely distracting. Since starting taking Omega3 oil caps of 1000 mg, one a day, reading two books by Dr. Daniel Amen & carrying out the recommendations therein(I can send the names of the books to you offlist if you like) and since going vegan, he says the radio noise is very, very diminished. He too, can do 10 or 20 things at once, and plays beat the clock too. :>) He has patience for me, I have patience for him. But it's taken a lot of years to get to this point for both of us. But I'm really glad we toughed it out because now is the best time of both of our lives! hugs, Bron On 11/12/05, purplepassion <thelilacflower wrote: > > Hi Bron, > I was just curious as to the symptoms.
