Guest guest
Do you have a mortar and pestle to crush fresh pods (this spice is better used as a crushed pod the flavor is more intense). I have a bottle of ground. I will put one or the other in the mail to you. It goes along the line of nutmeg but not quite. It's got it's own flavor. It's usually added to Indian cooking also. Let me know if you want pods or powder. Now that sounds like drug talk, huh.LOLOLOL Wow! Baby! It's so darn easy. I make mine just like Amy, only I'm bad and I always add a little sugar. Can't help it, I love sugar. I also add a touch of cinnamon and cardamom. Guest guest
Thanks to you and Amy, I picked up a bottle of ground. It is very good and now I use it to make Indian tea. When I have perfected this recipe I will post it ) hugs, Chanda - purplepassion Saturday, November 12, 2005 6:41 PM Re: cardamom pods or powder Chanda Do you have a mortar and pestle to crush fresh pods (this spice is better used as a crushed pod the flavor is more intense). Guest guest
You're so welcome. I can't say enough about this wonderful spice. I'll look forward to your tea recipe. If you want a few cardamom pods I will toss them in the mail. Cardamom will weaken fast than most spices when it's ground. There's nothing like the pods ground Let me know. Hugs back to you. Hey you have been missed in here. Donna PuterWitch <puterwitch wrote: Thanks to you and Amy, I picked up a bottle of ground. It is very good and now I use it to make Indian tea. So nice to be among so many nice people here in this group. That is ok, I can get them. I will wait until my bottle of ground is gone though. It was 10 bucks!! My friend is coming over tonight to pick up her computer, you know I run a business called, " Fix my friends' computers for free Services " so when she picks up her computer I am gonna back her against the wall and make her tell me her mom's tea recipe to the last DETAIL. <mwahahahahaha!> Blessings, Chanda - purplepassion Tuesday, November 22, 2005 8:42 AM Re: cardamom pods or powder Chanda You're so welcome. Guest guest
Yes, cardamom is expensive, just like saffron. The pods really last since the flavor is intense when you crush the seeds. No problem, let me know and I'll toss some in the mail to you. Donna PuterWitch <puterwitch wrote: oh Donna you are the sweetest! Amy had offered too, she is a sweetie too.
