Will do :=) I cook my beans and then freeze them in 2-cup packs - so it only takes a few mins in the microwave and they're ready to go by the time I chop any onions, etc. Something I read recently - must have been another group, sorry - said you could do them up by using a blender or was it a food processor - well you get the idea. For some things that might not be so good, but for a soup? I think it would work, don't you. Okay, when I try, I'll give you a bell ;=) Pat, since refried beans are really just cooked beans that have been fried/reheated with oil & onion & mashed, that would be fine, especially if you were to leave some texture.
