Guest guest
these are some sites I have bookmarked http://www.vegweb.com/food/ http://www.vegsource.com (has a lot of politics but i think the recipes are worth wading through all the muck to get to) http://users2.ev1.net/~cully/vegrecipes/#desserts also if you have access to newsgroups, alt.food.vegan is a good recipe list (minus all the politics). especially look for recipes posted by a "mr. falafel". :-) Megan - genie Wednesday, February 27, 2002 7:35 AM vegan Does anyone know of a good vegan recipe list. I'm not interested inthe pollitics, just the recipes. Thanks. Politics is not encouraged (a couple of posts and ppl are asked to take it offlist). Hope this helps! Love, Naomi > Does anyone know of a good vegan recipe list. Guest guest
OOOOW - Does this group go into the politics of vegetarianism? I hope not. I am not a vegetarian, but I do love my food and any vegetable dishes would be very welcome as I am on a diet at the moment and can eat as much as I like of vegetables. Thanks. Chatty :-) p.s. Guest guest
the main focus of the list is food, but I've seen the occasional topic vary. makes for a nice refreshing change of pace as long as its not overdone. :-) Megan - chatterbox2u2 Monday, March 25, 2002 11:16 AM Re: vegan OOOOW - Does this group go into the politics of vegetarianism? Guest guest
It is made from textured soy protein, but it isn't vegan...I think, if I remember right, some dairy derivative in it. It tastes like chicken and Veat is the brand name. It is quite good if I remember correctly. I know that I have read the ingredients in it at the store and it had something in it that I, as a vegan, don't eat. Site for it: http://www.veat.com/products.html The site says there are no eggs, but doesn't say that there is no dairy. So, depending on what you include in your food it might suit you or not. It is very close to Seitan, which is made from wheat gluten. linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. I find it amazing then I guess to find it at all here but I'm guessing it's not too drastically popular. the only stores around here I have seen carry it are Target, Walmart, and HyVee which I assume you don't have as it's a midwestern chain. take care : )..
