Broccoli with Spicy Sesame Oil

1 bunch fresh broccoli

1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil

1 small garlic clove, minced

1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper

2 teaspoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil.

Cut broccoli into florets. Peel tough outer layer from stalks; trim off woody

ends. Cut stalks diagonally into 1/4 " slices. Add broccoli to water and blanch

for 1 minute. Drain.

In a large skillet, warm sesame oil, garlic and red pepper over low heat for

three minutes. Stir in soy sauce and lemon juice. Add broccoli, toss and coat.

Cook's Notes: I prefer to add several large garlic cloves to this dish!
