Guest guest Posted July 29, 2008 Report Share Posted July 29, 2008 Cousin Fatima's Quick Vegan Lahmacun - Turkish Pizza 6 six-inch pitas 1 lb Morningside 'Soysage' Patties, (or 1 package/box) at room temperature 1 lb sweet onion, peeled 2 large tomatoes, or 4 Roma tomatoes zaatar, to taste Aleppo red pepper, to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste Brush pitas, lightly, with olive oil. Peel, wash, place onions with tomatoes in a food processor and rough pulse. Add salt, black pepper, Aleppo pepper, zaatar to taste and 'sausage' patties, pulsing 30 seconds more. Using a spoon spread this mixture over pitas. Put them in oven and bake at 400F about 20-30 minutes. Check to see whether 'sausage' is cooked. Serve hot.
