Guest guest
I just ordered the How it All Vegan. I haven't received it yet, but am looking forward to it. Guest guest
My brother-in-law gave us Laurel's Kitchen as a wedding present. I was what my brother-in-law calls an opportunarian, but I'm just about converted to a vegetarian now. My son chose to be a vegetarian 6 months ago and I have often referred to Laurel's Kitchen on general nutritional advice as well as recipes. I bought a few other books over the weekend that doesn't doesn't go into as much detail but has wonderful pictures. The pictures help my son in choosing what he would like to try. The books are: " Grill It! Vegetarian " and Better Homes and Gardens Vegetarian Cooking. I also got Claire's Classic American Vegetarian Cooking by Claire Criscuolo. I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes in these books during the week. I would love to get away from buying frozen garden burgers and make my own. Guest guest
I have this cookbook Kenia mentioned and I also like The Passionate Vegetarian by Crescent Dragonwagon. I ordered a used copy of Vegetarian Epicure by Ann or Anna Thomas because Judy and Donna recommended it months ago. It's a wonderful old classic cookbook and I have made a few good meals out of it so far. Mainly I use the group recipe folders for recipes though. Not only are the recipes good but the book lays flat and the recipes don't have any hard to fined ingredients or a lot of ingredients. > > > Kenia >
Guest guest
I like the " Vegetarian Lunchbox " by Linda Haynes and the Moosewood Cookbooks but the Moosewood seem to take too long to prepare and there are too many ingredients. The 5 Ingredient Cookbook by Nava Atlas is a good one and you can add more ingredients if you like. Tina
Guest guest
This is by far one of favorite cookbooks. Kippy has lived in Mexico for over 25 years, has a restaurant and her recipes are so flavorful and unique. A Taste of Mexico Vegetarian Cuisine by Kippy Nigh. I've posted a few of the recipes in the pasyt. Donna The seed is in bloom, will it meet an early doom or survive in a tranquil sea? Does it face an early end, will it find a real friend, should it be called humanity? Will creation of man bring death by his hand or will life be his destiny?
