Guest guest Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 Garlic Broccoli with Jalapeno 1 lb. broccoli florets 2 tsps. unsalted butter 2 tsps. olive oil 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced 1/2 tsp. salt Place broccoli in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover saucepan and steam about 5 minutes, or until bright green and almost tender. While broccoli is steaming, melt butter in oil in a heavy skillet over medium low heat. Cook garlic 2 minutes, stirring frequently until golden. Do not brown. Stir in jalapeno pepper. Remove from heat. Transfer broccoli to skillet with garlic butter. Heat over medium low heat.
