Guest guest
I was going to add, if you use canned beans mash them a bit. I use fresh beans and they are much softer and partially mashed. I also cook them on the bBQ grill in an iron skillet now and then. Enjoy Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Guest guest
Donna, is it better to cook these before freezing them or freeze first and thaw before cooking? Audrey S.
Guest guest
I cook and then freeze. They don't take long to thaw, reheat in a skillet. Guest guest
Thank you, your timing could not have been more perfect. I've been looking for a burger recipe. I'd like to make my own with instead of buying them. I'll give the recipe a try on my next free day off. Heat the oil. Take a handful of the rice mixture and form a ball, then flatten slightly forming a round, thick burger. Place in the hot oil. Form 3 more burgers and place in the skillet. Cook over medium heat until a crispy, brown crust forms on the bottom of the burgers. Flip over and cook until browned and crispy. Remove and repeat the process until all of the burgers are done, adding oil to the skillet as needed. > > Serve as is or with mayo and mustard or avocado and salsa on a bun or eat as a side dish. > > 10-12 burgers >
