wanted--animal lover: free rent in exchange for animal care in Marin

Greetings. I am looking for someone who is interested in living in San Rafael

who would be able to exchange animal and plant care for free rent.

 

I have 2 dogs, 4 chickens, and 10 cats--all rescues. I travel a lot and now my

husband is going to be working in DC for the next two years. So we need someone

to take care of the herd while I travel for work or to DC to be with my husband.

On average I will will be gone 2 1/2 weeks a month.

 

Animal care includes providing food, water, love, and attention to the animals,

cleaning of cat boxes and chicken coop, and walking the dogs. In total it takes

about 2 or 2 1/2 hours a day.

 

We have a lovely home in Marin with more than an acre with views of China Camp

and the Bay. We have a separate in-law suite that is one bedroom, one bath,

closet, washer/dryer, and full kitchen and living room--it's under 500 square

feet. Private deck as well. Private entrance.

 

You do need a car as there is no bus line--we are 3 miles outside of central san

rafael near China Camp.

 

Vegetarian preferred. Animal lover required.

 

At least a six month committment, but one year preferred.

 

Beginning end of July/early August.
