Guest guest
I agree, those candy bars are really good. I prefer the one that is supposed to be like Milky Way. It might be called Twilight. I've bought them at Whole Foods and at Alameda Natural Grocery. Karen
Guest guest
Alameda Natural Grocery ( http://www.alamedanaturalgrocery.com ) stocks these as well.wpOn Jan 12, 2010, at 3:27 PM, Monica M. I didn't know they had them until today, even though I work only a block away (and instead have been ordering them from Vegan Essentials). I told them I would tell everyone I know that they sell these delicous candy bars if they would continue to carry them. So, please visit Rincon Market and tell them to keep stocking them. They have all four flavors, which include vegan versions of Snickers, Almond Joy, Three Muskateers, and Mily Way (at least I think those are the non-vegan names). Not at all good for you, but a nice treat! :-) Monica
Guest guest
> The Rincon Market on Spear and Howard sells Go Max Go candy bars I'm definitely going to go and check this out tomorrow. Monica, thanks for sharing! Sometimes I do get the craving for candy when I'm at work and now I know where to fix it. Tammy
Guest guest
Yes, thank you Monica! Great news. My boyfriend works near the Ferry Bldg, and he has promised to get one of each flavor in stock tomorrow. Hmmmmm, on second thought: he IS a chocoholic, so maybe I should ask him to get TWO of each, to increase the chances there will still be some for me when he gets home! Being a sweets fanatic myself, I hope I don't eat them all at once tomorrow night, I AM trying to work off those holiday pounds! Oh dear!!! Well, at least, hopefully, with our support, there will be no more danger of the Rincon Market guy discontinuing the Go Max Go vegan candy bars. Yes! It's all for a good cause! That's the ticket. Thanks again, Monica, for the vegan chocolate alert!!! Rachel D. Guest guest
> The Rincon Market on Spear and Howard sells Go Max Go candy bars I never did find these at the market (someone else subsequently told me they're not out, but you have to ask as they're behind the counter?!) ... I did find them at a Pacifica store (the "Farmer's Market" at Manor Drive shopping center). I never knew these existed so it was fun to try all 4 flavors. I also found they have a list of retailers on their website at http://www.gomaxgofoods.com/where.htm Cheers, Tammy Join us at an upcoming Bay Area Vegetarians event! 02/14 Plant-Powered Hikers Mt Tam Steep Ravine Hike - Mill Valley 02/28 Vegan Food Party plus Secrets of Vegan Baking Presentation - Pacifica 03/13 Food for Thought Book Club: Slaughterhouse by Gail Eisnitz - Berkeley 03/27 Secrets of Vegan Baking: The Chocolate Trio - San Mateo 04/24 Secrets of Vegan Baking: Berry Sweets - San Mateo Say it your way .. with an Ultimate Guide Review
Guest guest
They were at the counter at Rincon Market because they only had a few left (but were planning on reordering). Please note that despite being a vegan product, they are not good for your bodies. The first four ingredients in the one I checked are sweeteners, with the dreaded corn syrup (gmo?) topping the list. The candy bar also contains soy protein (gmo?). I'd much prefer a piece of organic, fairly traded dark chocolate, but I do understand people have different cravings.
