Melissa,

When you separate the fiber from the juice, the juice is full of minerals and

vitamins

in the organic form. Alot of people of people think one should eat the whole

fruit or veggie. And this is a good thought but when you really want to pump

up

the body with added nutrition, fresh juice on an empty stomach with some sort

of greens in it just does the trick. To answer your question, yes you can

leave the apple peeling on.

I was very sick back in 1994 and couldn't eat so I juiced and put barley

green in all of the veggie juices until I started juicing the green veggies

along

with the other. It really

saved my health. I did this until I retired from my job in 1998, adding fruit

back as soon as I was able to eat and moving on from there. I just took the

juices to work with me in a small igloo.

Hi

I am a newbie to the raw food world.......just bought a juicer.....a

Breville Juice Fountain/Juice Extractor. Out one spout comes juice

and out another comes a bunch of i dont know what........a bunch of

mush. The question is about all the mush that is seperated from the

juice. Am I losing nutrients by this machine seperating the mush or

the pulp is what i'm assuming it is. For example, I can just add an

entire apple peel and all into this thing. I know when you just you a

blender all of that stuff stays in the drink right?

Thanks for your help in advance......

seems like that would defeat the purpose of juicing, to be the benefit

of the extractor is that it seperates the pulp from the juice

I'm sure there are some nutrients in the pulp, but I've never worried

about that. I use the machine as way to get at nutrients my body would

otherwise have a hard time getting. I juice a lot of kale, carrots,

beets, celery, squash. I usually put in a apple just for flavor.

I primarily use my juicer for veg juice and most of my fruit I eat or

put in the blender

hey, I saw a Breville that had a really big opening, is that the one

you have? I'm talking about one where you could put a whole apple in

it. i almost bought it but the salesman said he didn't recommend it

for some reason. I'm thinking I should have not listened to him. It

would be nice to not have

to cut stuff up as much.

How do you like it?

yep you can put the whole apple in the shoot thing...i

like it it makes great juice but i think i am going to

also get a vita mix as i want the nutrients from the

pulp.........alot of nutrients get extracted in the

juicing process.......

I would do both. juicing with an extractor has a great value.

specially for vegetables and greens

But how does the juice without the pulp

affect the insulin response?
