Coming in a little late, but I think I've read most of them.

I have done a lot of testing and heard of many more, (I help run a support

group for children with various digestive disorders).

Let's not forget that a lab test is a " snapshot in time " , the numbers can be

completely different minutes later. You are wise to not worry about this

one.

The suggestion to find a doc or lab that has a on-site facility is very

important imho.

Also, you need to establish a baseline and be consistent, so since this last

draw was not fasting you can't use it.

So you are back to square one.

Next time you test your blood (which you can do now if you wish) , make it a

fasting one, get a copy for yourself and file it.

Then 3-4 months later do the same test(s) and then you can start comparing

numbers.

That's OK, I needed to hear it again. I don't remember it from the

first posting of it. So my bad stuff is coming out into my

bloodstream as a process of osmosis. I'm still in a lot of detox

pain, I swear it's all mental, but I suppose there could be something

to this physical aspect. " Still, " ha, 25 days, big deal, see how

sensitive I am to pain of any kind. We live in the instant

gratification age, but I swear I'm worse about it than most. That's

the reason why I haven't been able to stay raw for the long run ever,

because I've never been willing to feel the feelings and the rest of

the process all the way through. A year sounds like an eternity to

me. If only I had patience or the ability to do the smae things for

a long period of time. If I ever had any of this ability, I lost it

around 1997. Going from one thing to the next, not sticking anything

out for any length of time. Pray for me group, pray that I see this

process all the way through. Of course, I don't believe in any

benefits to prayer so you can skip that one if you want.

Can you all tell me where to start - say Day 1 - what to eat; Day 2 - what

to eat; Day 3 - what to eat?

I am disabled, very hard for me to sit and search on internet for the

" process " and how to start. I would appreciate very much any help.

I will try to tell you something to eat. It's difficult because everyone here

has different paths and no matter what you eat there will be those that say you

shouldn't do it that way.

But I will describe a simple way that works for me. Marilyn Diamond said, " At

first, don't worry about condiments. " That makes sense to me.

Meanwhile, my simple how to go raw method.

Day one. Buy:

Lots of blanched almonds.

4bunches of bananas.

some berries

good lettuce

6 avocados

sprouts

carrots

some other veggies, yellow pepper, cauliflour

vegenaise with grape seed oil

some tasty fruits, like persimmons, grape fruit, melon, kiwi, apples

peanut butter, (the more fresh, the more raw, the better. At any rate, not

Skippy.)

Good water if you don't have it.

OK now you are ready to go. At first you may tend to overeat. Don't sweat this.

It will pass.

Morning. Do not eat until you are hungry. then have a smoothie. Here's how to

make it.

Grind some blanched almonds in the blender. Add water. Blend. This makes almond

milk. Add some bananas. Three oughta do it. Add some berries. Blend. I have one

of these every morning. At first you may want several. Be sure to put enough

nuts so you will feel sated.

Be sure not to let yourself feel deprived while you are transitioning. Keep

plenty of good food around.

If you used enough nuts this should keep you satisfied for a while.

When hungry, have fruit. Any fruit. Have two apples with the nut butter, on the

slices.

that was lunch. Yum.

Dinner. Make a plate fresh cauliflower fresh lettuce whole leaves, an avocado

cut in half with the pit removed, some sprouts, some cut up veggies, like

zucchini, carrots etc. If this is hard to enjoy without dressing, put a dollop

of the vegenaise on your plate. This is basically oil. Dip a bit of cauliflower

into the vegenaise, add some lettuce and sprouts to your bite. Or without the

vegenaise, use a bit of avocado in each bite. Munch this fresh dish.

If you get panicky or hungry during the day, make extra smoothies or eat some

more fruit that appeals to you.

I think this is a simple, easy way to ease into the raw lifestyle. Many here

will have other ways.

By the way for days two three and four, repeat these directions. There is enough

flexibility to change things. Be sure to always have plenty of ripe fruit

around.

One last thing. Some nights I just don't feel like a salad type meal. Then I

just have a piece or more of fruit instead.

I hope this helps. Good luck. Lane

I can't. I just eat fresh, whole raw fruits, vegetables and nuts. I

just nibble in my garden, i.e., eat whatever amounts of whichever of

these items I want at any given meal. This isn't the standard raw

food diet. But, for example, what I have right now to munch on at

each meal is broccoli, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, grapefruit,

orange, asparagus (yuck, I don't like this one much, may not buy it

again), mangos, avocados, lettuce, raw hazelnuts, pinenuts, cashews,

macadamias, and sunflower seeds (I just stocked up on nuts), sweet

potato, carrot, greenbeans, kiwi, grapes and pineapple. Whew, I

really have a lot of plant food. It doesn't look like that much in

the refrigerator.

You actually pray for people as part of your routine in life?!

I know I do; over the years I have come to believe more and more in the power of

prayer and intention, and holding people in my heart to God. I no longer pray

specifics, since I have no idea what a person may really need, but I can hold

them in my heart. It may help, it may not, I don't know, but I know it has

helped make me more aware of the needs of people and the world, and I hope helps

me become more compassionate.

Peace,

Valerie
